Common Faults and Troubleshooting Methods for Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Detectors

Publishdatea:2019-09-26 Views:128

Based on feedback from NOY customers on the helium mass spectrometer leak detector, the following table provides a reference for common faults and troubleshooting methods with a high failure rate during operation:

Category

Fault Symptom

Inspection and Analysis Method

Power Supply

Leak detector does not run after power-on

Check whether the power outlet has AC 220V;

Check whether the power connection is secure;

Check whether the power switch outputs 220V;

Check whether the fuse is blown

No display after power-on

Check whether the display module cable connection is loose

Mechanical Pump

Display is on after power-on, but the mechanical pump does not run

Check whether the mechanical pump switch is turned on;

Check whether the mechanical pump power cable is securely connected

Abnormal noise from the mechanical pump

Check all connection clamps on the mechanical pump;

Check whether the leak test port is sealed;

Check whether the mechanical pump fan guard is deformed;

Mechanical pump not OK

Check for large leaks;

Check whether the mechanical pump oil has solidified

Ion Source

Filament does not energize

Check whether the molecular pump has completed startup;

Check whether the ion source socket is loose

Ion source repeatedly energizes

Check the wiring sequence of the ion source socket for incorrect connection
